I think the 'zoom window' Skye was referring to is the one on the lower right that shows the complete program with a moveable view window.

"The other thing I dislike about NXTG is having to move around in a large program. Even on a very fast machine, the zoom window is sluggish. With the large NXT icons its difficult to see enough of a complex program to fully understand it."

Does anyone know what zoom window Skye was referring to? It would be nice to reduce the icon sizes so more of the program can be seen o the screen.

Amen. Anyone ever get an 'insane object at BDHP+####' error message? How about a 'cannot find terminal hotpoint in wire' every time you move the mouse! How about expanding the wire attachment thingy only to find the software rearranges your code only to make half your program hidden and permanently inaccessible!!!

I have never been able to get the software to run smoothly for anything but a simple move-wait-move-etc. program. And even for that, the program often pauses when dragging blocks - 100% cpu usage for 30+ seconds while it does who knows what! And it does this on both my desktop -running a 1.8GHz P4 with 1GB of RAM and XP SP2 and a comparable laptop - so it is certainly not my computer.

The language as a whole is much better than the RIS drag+drop language so I definitely appreciate that. I only wish it were more stable.
